Frequently asked questions

I can't hear the clues.

Use “Test Sound” before hiding the phone. Turn the game volume up in the app and the iPhone volume up with its side buttons. If headphones or a Bluetooth speaker are connected, the sound plays there instead, so disconnect them first.

Does it work when the screen is locked or the ringer is off?

Yes. Clues keep playing with the screen locked and the ringer switched to silent. Don't close the app from the app switcher, though: that stops the game.

How do I end a game early?

Tap “I found you!” when the phone is found, or press and hold “Stop the game” for two seconds.

What do the time and difficulty settings do?

The time (3, 5 or 10 minutes) sets when the game ends if the phone isn't found. The difficulty sets how often a clue plays: the harder it is, the longer the gaps.

Where is a safe place to hide the phone?

Keep it away from water, heat, traffic and stairs, and choose a spot your child can reach safely.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The app works fully offline, has no ads and collects no data. See the privacy policy.

Ich höre die Hinweise nicht.

Nutze vor dem Verstecken „Soundtest starten“. Stell die Spiellautstärke in der App und die iPhone-Lautstärke mit den Seitentasten hoch. Sind Kopfhörer oder ein Bluetooth-Lautsprecher verbunden, kommt der Ton dort heraus – trenne sie also vorher.

Funktioniert es bei gesperrtem Bildschirm oder stummem Klingelton?

Ja. Die Hinweise ertönen auch bei gesperrtem Bildschirm und stumm geschaltetem Klingelton. Schließ die App aber nicht über den App-Umschalter – damit endet das Spiel.

Wie beende ich ein Spiel vorzeitig?

Tippe auf „Gefunden!“, wenn das Handy gefunden wurde, oder halte „Spiel stoppen“ zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt.

Was bewirken Dauer und Schwierigkeit?

Die Dauer (3, 5 oder 10 Minuten) legt fest, wann das Spiel endet, falls das Handy nicht gefunden wird. Die Schwierigkeit bestimmt, wie oft ein Hinweis ertönt: Je schwerer, desto länger die Pausen.

Wo verstecke ich das Handy sicher?

Fern von Wasser, Hitze, Straßenverkehr und Treppen – an einem Ort, den dein Kind sicher erreichen kann.

Brauche ich eine Internetverbindung?
